Long Life Noodles
My daughter turns 2 today. Yay! I’ll cook her long life noodles for dinner and Daddy will bake her a sweet cake for dessert. There’ll be ten delights in the noodles: peanut butter, cayenne pepper, tamari, balsamic vinegar, chicken, scallions, carrots, yellow peppers, love and laughter.

I’m sure there was a double, even triple, helping of love in those long life noodles!

It was a pleasure meeting you, too! Please keep me informed about the Chinese translation of Firewife. I would really love for my sister to read it. She’s Chinese educated. By the way, I heard you’re Hakka?

Thanks, Chet. My dad is Hakka and my mom Teohchew. I speak only two words of Hakka, “eat rice.”
